  1. In 1987, the Orioles feathered their nest with
  2. Ripkens. Cal junior was at shortstop, his
  3. dad, Cal senior, was hired as the Oriole
  4. manager, and CalΓÇÖs younger brother, Billy,
  5. was called up from the minor leagues
  6. during mid-season to play second base.

  8. Cal and Billy made a great double-play
  9. combination. In 1990, the dynamic duo
  10. committed only 11 errors -- the fewest in
  11. major league history by a second-shortstop
  12. combination. That same year, both homered
  13. in the fifth inning of a game against the
  14. Toronto Blue Jays, becoming only the fifth
  15. pair of brothers to go deep in the same
  16. inning. Billy is now with the Texas Rangers.
